Well over 100 branches are already managed by our franchise partners. But this is just the beginning. We want to continue to grow and invite real entrepreneurs to have a successful future with us. So we are looking for partners for Germany and Austria as well as for other international markets.

Our franchise model Germany/Austria

The franchise model in these two countries focuses on new locations. NORDSEE supports its partners in site selection and also negotiates the lease. The planning and construction of the restaurant is coordinated and implemented by NORDSEE.

This franchise model is well suited to partners who have sufficient liquidity at the beginning of their business.

The International franchise model focuses on expansion in countries and regions where NORDSEE is not yet present. NORDSEE provides its partners with advice on important topics such as location selection, logistics and staff training.

This franchise model is well suited to partners who have high liquidity to open several restaurants in a region within a few years.

Become a franchise partner:
What should you bring with you?

You are ready to operate a NORDSEE restaurant and have more than five years experience as an independent entrepreneur or extensive knowledge in the management of a restaurant

At least 150,000 euors liquid equity available.

You plan to become self-employed as a sole contractor. Self-employment in a community with other persons such as friends, acquaintances or existing business partners is not possible

Eduard Wunder

Partner since 2011, currently has 3 NORDSEE restaurants in Germany (NORDSEE Hof, NORDSEE Ansbach, NORDSEE Plauen)

Happy now at NORDSEE. Eduard Wunder was a hockey player, butcher, engineer, entrepreneur –  now he is a franchise partner in Bavaria and Saxony.

Eduard is 50 years old, slim and fit – it's no wonder since his hobby is playing ice hockey. It looked like he would play hockey professionally until he was 19. But as often happens in life, things turned out differently. An apprenticeship as a butcher was followed by a few semesters of engineering studies; he went to Siemens and then went on to become self-employed as an entrepreneur, exporting textiles to Russia, until NORDSEE came into play. As an athlete, he knew how important it is to eat healthily. And he had become a loyal customer at NORDSEE over the years. He began to get interested in the company. Mr. Wunder currently has 57 employees, many of whom have been with NORDSEE for a long time.

Ilja Schmidt

Partner since 2016, currently has 1 NORDSEE restaurant in Germany (NORDSEE Wolfsburg Porschestraße)

Fast, fresh, enthusiastic. Ilja heads a NORDSEE restaurant – a born entrepreneur, 27 years young and full of good ideas.

Ilja, 27, is one of the youngest franchise partners of NORDSEE. He has raced through this path. Actually, he just wanted to earn money for a driver’s license after completing secondary school. But his trainer already predicted his future as Branch Manager at the time. This is how it happened: Ilja Schmidt stayed, finished his buffet apprenticeship in 2009, shortly afterwards became Deputy Branch Manager, and then quickly Branch Manager. He already felt like an entrepreneur. But he wanted more. Even more independence and even more responsibility. Encouraged by his girlfriend and family, he applied as a franchise partner at NORDSEE.

On April 1, 2016 it happened! He would not have thought about any other industry. “NORDSEE is the best for me.” He is proud about winning over his customers with new dishes, which is why he is looking forward to more exciting promotions in the future.

Harun Koc

Partner since 2013, currently has 4 NORDSEE Restaurants in Germany (NORDSEE Lüdenscheid, NORDSEE Iserlohn, NORDSEE Cologne Arcaden, NORDSEE Rhein-Center Cologne)

Finished his “Abitur” degree and then off to management.

Harun started his career at NORDSEE 17 years ago. He didn’t know about the company before, and his first day at NORDSEE also could have been his last. Because Harun wondered why he needed a degree just to make sandwiches. Thanks to his training manager, who showed him the further professional opportunities in the company, Harun stayed. Immediately after the three-year apprenticeship as a corporate gastronomy specialist, he became Deputy Branch Manager.

In January 2013, Harun Koc started as a franchise partner. He had already felt that he was an entrepreneur because NORDSEE's philosophy is to turn employees into entrepreneurs in the company.

The proximity between his place of residence and workplace was also an advantage, as was his Turkish descent. The latter is an advantage with regard to the guests and his 30 employees. He quickly built trust because he shared a common language with them.
